Unfortunately this free software is provided "as is" and comes with very little, useful accompanying documentation. The software author didn't provide verbose information on his EOS Digital Info app he only briefly mentioned that the older version that uses Canon's Software Development Kit (SDK) ver 2.14 is able to read the shutter count.

I have a 7D Mark II which uses the DiGiC 6 and this software can't read the shutter actuations from my camera.ĭo update this thread if it works on your 70D (it should, as it uses the DiGiC 5+).
